The Beach Day Out is a special day celebrates and supports people with a disability, their carers, and families. This fun day is designed to be accessible, help to reduce isolation, and build a sense of belonging.
It also raises awareness among the broader community about accessibility and inclusion, encouraging greater understanding and acceptance.
Accessibility and Inclusion
Many traditional beach activities can be difficult for people with mobility challenges or other disabilities. The Beach Day Out offers a wide variety of activities, adaptive equipment, volunteers, and facilities so everyone can enjoy the beach safely. There are beach games, stalls, live entertainment, and free activities for all.
Creating a Masterpiece
This year, the Live Free team were on hand with colourful paints and canvases so participants could create their masterpieces.

Thanks to everyone who came to say hello today. We loved meeting new contacts, catching up with friends and letting people know what we do.

Beach Day Out Celebrates Ability
The Beach Day Out event highlights what people can do rather than focusing on limitations, showcasing talents, achievements, and the value of diversity.
If you would like to learn more about what Live Free Disability Services can offer, we help people with disabilities to achieve their daily and longer term goals.
We also tailor learning activities for people with Autism and other neurodiversity. Our Come Connect activities are suitable for individuals and groups so you can engage at their own pace.
