Hotcakes Theatre Show is a Great Success

Live Free Hotcakes Theatre Show

The Live Free community has been treated to a dazzling night of drama, laughter, and creativity with the first Free Style Theatre Show.

Hotcakes is a deliciously offbeat tale of sass and suspense set in the quirky town of Killington. The mystery unfolded at the infamous café Sip Happens, where romance, chaos, and intrigue brewed in equal measure.

NDIS Theatre Production

This fun NDIS theatre production was created by neurodiverse Rockhampton locals. The show was hosted by the glamorous Vivian Graves, a beloved YouTuber known for her flair and fabulous storytelling.

The audience was captivated with the sweet love story of Florence Abernathy and Archie McSwagger, and the wild antics of the Tutu Tough Guys. And detectives Sherlock Foams and Nancy Brew brought sharp wit and wisdom to the case, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.

This unforgettable performance was brought to life entirely by our participants. They not only acted with heart and humour but also designed and created all the props and sets themselves.

The team’s dedication, creativity, and courage shone brightly on stage. Hotcakes is a true celebration of storytelling, self-expression, and community spirit.

Theatre Fosters Joy

Group leader Jess couldn’t be prouder of each and every person. Their growth, joy, and commitment were evident in every moment of the show. Their journey has been as magical as the performance itself.

“Thank you to everyone who joined us for this sparkling event. Stay tuned for more magic from Live Free. And remember, when it comes to drama and makeup, the bolder, the better!”

Empowering Neurodiverse People

Live Free Style Theatre programs are run over a 4-month period. Each participant learns about every aspect of theatre. They then get to rehearse with their friends, and then present a live show for friends and family.

This program is designed for neurodiverse people. It uses theatrics as a channel to empower each person, to build their interpersonal skills, and to foster celebration.
